Goals, What are goals?
Goals arent anything you can touch, nor can anyone, teach you what they are. No, Goals are something you must discover on your own. The Definition of a "goal" is: The result or achievement toward which effort is directed. Now one thing is for sure that goals very from one person to another. It just depends on what the person likes to do, or where they live, or even what they want to achieve in life. Along with this their are really two types of goals. Short term, and Long term. A short term goal is a goal that you would like to accomplish in the near future. A few of the most common short term goals are; Lose weight, save money, get organized or for me is to reach 150 on the bench press by the end of the year. In Addition to these goals they have long term goals to. Such as; getting a new job, Make more money, and even things like me to get a good job that you enjoy doing.
Now Like i said earlier Goals may very from person to person. I have a few goals. Some of My short term goals are; to get good grades, Reach 150 lbs in the bench press, and to stay organized. which i am doing those pretty well. I'm working on the 15o lbs but the other two I'm keeping up on. Now some of my long term goals are really long term, like; Graduating high school, going to college, getting a job i enjoy like, (Being a pilot, basketball, paintball), getting married. those sort of things. Now my goals are completely different from any other person in the world. For instance there is probably a really big guy out there who doesn't need to bench 150 lbs, and is out of college and has a job on Broadway. His goals were for obvious reasons allot different from mine, and are different at the moment.
Goals Effect us in many ways. They give us something to push ahead to. they give us something to look forward too, along with the satisfactory of making it there. Goals believe it or not help us whether we make it or not. People that set goals are more likely to push ahead to, them and more likely to succeed then people who don't set goals up in the first place.
So Goals are not only thing to push at but also they help us succeed whether we want to or not. (but seriously who doesn't want to succeed) They also very from person to person. Depending on what they like, what they do, how old they are, Everything! So That means my goals are different from your goals, and his goals and her goals, and from what i can see so far. My goals are working out just fine. How about you?
