Looking at you school days for Monday i realised you have 6 periods. We here at American leadership academy have only 5 periods a day however we swich off frommone do to the next. so on one day we have 5 classes then the next day we have 5 differant classes. these are called "A" and "B" days. I almost was exactly the same as you when it came to choosing a school. I ended up coming here in 6th grade and sticking with it. however at the begging of this year and the begging of next year i have a choice. i can move schools if i wish. but after thinking about it both my head and my heart (just like you) have told me to come here to American leadership academy. for i think it is a MUCH, MUCH better school then Spanish fork high school. I hope we can keep in contact so i shall add you on facebook or you should add me. :) (Cameron Wilkins)

I have a similar story to yours about what school i would have liked to go to. i had a choice of Spanish fork jr high or American Leadership Academy. I had herd that it was a really good school but i was a little discouraged due to the fact that it had to have a dress code and it was a little more strict then most other schools. howver i made the decision to come here and im glad i did. ive made tons of friends and i just all around love this school! (Besides the Dress code of course, But i dont mind it.) I read your report on violent video games and found it really interesting. especially sence im kind of a video gamer. My personal opinion is it really dosent make people violent. However i might not be the best person to ask considering i play them. :P

I can relate to you when picking a school to go to. For the educational reason. i mean not alot of people think about that. most just think "Wherever my friends are going?" But ALA Is a Charter school and a really tough school. Therefore a better educational school, And i do plan to go to college. I loved your Sonnet thing on texting! Probably cause thats how i am with texting. :) i love it! i dont know what i would do without it!!!

From some of the things Ive read we are alike in some ways. Like we both love music and friends (but who doesn't) Also im Sometimes really shy. but once you get to know me im crazy and always up for fun! We have alot of similar goals like With academics and athletics want to join a team next year too! probably the Basketball team. i love Basketball!

Dear Family in California

I am doing great here in Utah. However when i say "I" i really mean we, as in me and my family. As I'm sure you probably school is going well like usual. however it is almost out. Along with school being out my parents are going to Ireland a few days after it is out. (yes i am extremely jealous) Now i would like you opinion on something. They are saying that they want one of you to come down and stay with me. however the airfare is really expensive. so they are debating weather or not they will let me stay home alone. especially sense my dog would be able to stay with me and that's better then being kenneled. I say i would be fine to stay home alone. However i do want your opinion. What do you think we should do. We do have one other solution. they say i will stay with some friends for a few of the nights so I'm not alone all the time. But i still do want your opinion. Thank You Write back soon

Goals-Short Essay

Goals, What are goals?
Goals arent anything you can touch, nor can anyone, teach you what they are. No, Goals are something you must discover on your own. The Definition of a "goal" is: The result or achievement toward which effort is directed. Now one thing is for sure that goals very from one person to another. It just depends on what the person likes to do, or where they live, or even what they want to achieve in life. Along with this their are really two types of goals. Short term, and Long term. A short term goal is a goal that you would like to accomplish in the near future. A few of the most common short term goals are; Lose weight, save money, get organized or for me is to reach 150 on the bench press by the end of the year. In Addition to these goals they have long term goals to. Such as; getting a new job, Make more money, and even things like me to get a good job that you enjoy doing.

Now Like i said earlier Goals may very from person to person. I have a few goals. Some of My short term goals are; to get good grades, Reach 150 lbs in the bench press, and to stay organized. which i am doing those pretty well. I'm working on the 15o lbs but the other two I'm keeping up on. Now some of my long term goals are really long term, like; Graduating high school, going to college, getting a job i enjoy like, (Being a pilot, basketball, paintball), getting married. those sort of things. Now my goals are completely different from any other person in the world. For instance there is probably a really big guy out there who doesn't need to bench 150 lbs, and is out of college and has a job on Broadway. His goals were for obvious reasons allot different from mine, and are different at the moment.

Goals Effect us in many ways. They give us something to push ahead to. they give us something to look forward too, along with the satisfactory of making it there. Goals believe it or not help us whether we make it or not. People that set goals are more likely to push ahead to, them and more likely to succeed then people who don't set goals up in the first place.

So Goals are not only thing to push at but also they help us succeed whether we want to or not. (but seriously who doesn't want to succeed) They also very from person to person. Depending on what they like, what they do, how old they are, Everything! So That means my goals are different from your goals, and his goals and her goals, and from what i can see so far. My goals are working out just fine. How about you?

Friends-Scenes/Dialog

I Walked in to the room. Everyone was there like usual. This was the usual hangout spot for everyone before school.

Me-"Hey."
Jessica-"YAY CAMERON'S HERE!!!!" (She Jumps up and Hugs me)
Ben-"Hey lets go walk around"
Me- (Being squished from hug by Jessica) "OK lets go"

As we walk through the hall. Jessica has to go talk to a teacher and me and Ben meet up with Tanner and James.


James-"RAWR!!!!!"
me-"Heeeeeey! Lets walk that way". (as i point in the direction i was walking.)
Tanner-"OK lets do it."
Me- "Hey Ben why do you always have a soda?"
Ben- "I don't know. i like soda i guess?"
Me-"Yeah that makes sense i guess."




We walk around talking about random things for a short amount of time. occasionally we meet up with some of our other friends and talk to them for a little bit before moving on. Eventually the bell rings and we know that we only have five minutes left till school starts. We head to my locker so i can get my stuff while listening to what we all agree is a terrible pop song playing through the intercom above us.






James- "Why wont they ever change the music anymore. All the music they pick is terrible."
Me-"Well remember when they played Three days Grace?"
James- "Yeah what about it?"
Me-"I suggested that. But that was back when Mr.(insert teachers name here) Was in control of the music."
Tanner-"Well who controls it now? Why cant we request anymore?"
Me-"Well now its the Student Government so of course they're going to pick pop/hip hop. Which is apparently the music that's "in style" right now."
Ben-"That's lame.
James-Yeah oh well the four of us have our Heavy Metal to listen to."
Me-"HECK YES!!!"




We arrive at my locker and i get my bag. Then me Ben and Tanner Start walking, after James disperses to his class. Me, Ben and Tanner have our first class together. but Tanner leaves after 1st period However me and Ben have the next 2 classes together. We do meat up with James in 3rd period. But as i get there i realise that there are no more seats in the front of the class so i sit in the back. Then i look up after sitting down and see Katherine walking in.






Me-"HEY! Are you in this class now?"
Katherine-"Yep i had to switch come of my classes around."
Me-"Cool. Theres another seat right here." (i say as u pull out the chair next to me.)
Katherine- "Awesome!"



She sits down and we talk for a little bit until Ms.(insert teacher name) Comes up to the front of the class and gives us our current event. Then has us write a journal on it. After that we have a lecture that we need to take notes on. So i do but me and Katherine still have a conversation by passing piece of notebook paper back and forth to write on. After a while i look up from my notes and "note" and realize that its just about 12:15 and its almost lunch time. So i pack my things up turn in my notes, and walk with Katherine to the door then we each go our separate ways. I walk out the door and standing right around the corner is Tracey.





Me-"Hey!"
Tracey-"Hey lets go."
Me-"OK Just let me get my lunch out of my locker."




We make small talk when Tanner and James come up to us. We decide to go to our secret spot, where we can eat where people cant find us. However Some people have found out were it is, so slowly one by one they show up. which is OK. so after we hang there for a while we decide that lunch is just about over and head back to the school. A few of the people split up and all that's left is me, Tracey and Jarom. So we walk around until the bell rings so we walk to Tracey's locker and i meet up with Jessica and we head to french. We hear the announcement that says we have 60 seconds to get to class.


Jessica-"Race you there?"
Me-"OK!"
(We run to the Classroom. I win of course)
Jessica-"You cheated."
Me-"No i didn't. when?"
Jessica-"When you Grabbed my shoulders and held me back."
Me-"Oh..... Well I still win."
(we smile as we set our stuff down.)
Teacher-"Hey! set the tables up! You guys know this."
Jessica-"ooohhhkkkaaayyy."
(we set them up in a meeting room fashion.)




We Go through this class as usual taking a quiz first, then going over the chapter words and doing a few assignments on it. after this class Me, friend1 and friend8 Go to friend1's locker. Then the 60 seconds bell announcement goes off and we go our separate ways. as i walk into computer tech i debate with myself where to sit. I sit in the middle of the room next to friend9 however we don't exactly talk much because this class is always busy so we just get our assignments done. This class ends and everyone goes to their lockers and puts their school stuff in it and grabs a phone or mp3 player/iPod etc. This is the time where everyone just hangs around with friends until their rides get here. I meet up with most of the friends i don't hang with during the school day. WE form a little circle where people join and leave as their rides get here. Eventually all that's left is me, Tracey, Jarom, and Katherine. Then Katherine's mom shows up and tells her that its time to go. As usual Katherine stalls as long as possible. eventually about 20min-a half hour goes bye and we say our "good byes" and see you tomorrows" Because everyone ends up leaving about the same time. Everyone disperses and almost immediately pulls out their phones and start texting one and other. Friends are always together. :)
